Day by day

  1. Day 1

    Arrive in Madrid

    Airport meet-and-greet and transfer to our centrally located Madrid hotel. Welcome dinner and a relaxed evening to settle in.

  2. Day 2

    Madrid's treasures

    Visit the Prado Museum and Royal Palace at a gentle pace, with seated viewing and a long lunch in a classic Madrid café.

  3. Day 3

    Toledo

    Day trip to UNESCO-listed Toledo. Explore El Greco's art, the historic synagogue and the old town with a local guide, avoiding the steepest lanes.

  4. Day 4

    To Córdoba

    Travel south by comfortable coach to Córdoba. Afternoon visit to the Mezquita and a gentle walk through the Jewish Quarter.

  5. Day 5

    Seville

    A full day in Seville: the cathedral, Columbus's tomb and Plaza de España. Plenty of rest stops and an optional Flamenco evening after dinner.

  6. Day 6

    Seville at leisure

    A free morning to rest or explore Seville at your own pace. Optional gentle river cruise or extended lunch with the tour manager.

  7. Day 7

    Granada and the Alhambra

    Travel to Granada for an afternoon visit to the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens. Routes are chosen to minimise steps and include rest areas.

  8. Day 8

    Valencia

    Continue to Valencia for a guided tour of the City of Arts and Sciences and a paella lunch in the city where the dish was born.

  9. Day 9

    Barcelona

    Arrive in Barcelona and explore the Gothic Quarter and Montjuïc on a gentle walking tour with a panoramic coach overview of the city.

  10. Day 10

    Gaudí's Barcelona

    Visit Gaudí's Sagrada Família and Park Güell, with level access routes and plenty of time to admire the architecture. Farewell dinner in the evening.

  11. Day 11

    Homeward

    A leisurely breakfast and private transfers to Barcelona airport for your flight home.
