Day 1
Arrive Marseille
Arrive in Marseille and transfer to the ship in Avignon. Settle into your cabin and enjoy a welcome dinner aboard.
Day 2
Arles
Explore Arles, following in Van Gogh's footsteps. A gentle walking tour of the Roman amphitheatre and old town with plenty of rest stops.
Day 3
Avignon
Visit Avignon's Papal Palace, with level-access routes and seated areas, then see the famous bridge. Free afternoon aboard or in town.
Day 4
Viviers and Tournon
Morning walking tour of Viviers, then board the scenic Tournon train for a relaxed ride through vineyard country.
Day 5
Vienne
Discover Vienne's Roman temple and amphitheatre. Optional easier coach tour for those who prefer not to walk the old town.
Day 6
Lyon
A full day in Lyon: old town, cathedral and a food market visit. We use the funicular to avoid steep hills.
Day 7
Beaujolais
Scenic sailing into Beaujolais wine country. Visit a family vineyard for a seated tasting before the farewell dinner.
Day 8
Disembark in Lyon
After breakfast, disembark in Lyon for transfers to the airport, station, or an optional 3-night extension in Paris, the French Riviera or Burgundy.
